Black Shamrock Surf Co. fuses the edginess of the punk rock scene naturally with the surf and skate lifestyle, with a strong Irish overtone in everything we do. BSSC is like throwing everything you love about the surf/skate/and music subculture and putting it into a lifestyle brand. BSSC is not your traditional surf apparel company. We were founded on being intentionally different and making our mark, all while paying homage to the Irish surf culture.
BSSC was founded in 2023 by Rob Keefer. Rob began his surf journey by surfing Cocoa Beach, New Smyrna and wherever else he could get a ride to. In his 20’s he began managing alternative music nightclubs in Jacksonville and Orlando. Rob also worked at a few Irish pubs along the way. One thing he took away from all of this experience is that there is a symbiotic relationship between the surf and skate scene with the music and Irish heritage, with a strong need to be seen, but not necessarily understood. BSSC was born out of these experiences.
We love our planet and realize that the ocean is our greatest gift on earth. It provides most of what the world needs to be happy and to thrive. There is nothing more natural than a surfer in the morning lineup anticipating the first wave of the day. In that moment, we become one with our world, and we realize we are merely passengers on this ride. It is up to us to get the most of this ride while we are here. Surf Hard!
